Metered Parking – Pay by Phone, credit card, or with pocket change
Nearly 600 parking meters are available throughout the Mill Avenue District. For your convenience, Downtown Tempe meters can be paid for in three ways: your cell phone, change, and credit card*.
Meter Hours: Monday – Saturday from 8am - 10pm for all credit card enabled meters. All other meters that do not accept credit cards are operational Monday – Saturday from 8am – 6pm.
*Credit card meters are located on Mill Avenue, College Avenue, Maple Avenue, and 5th Street and various other side street.

ParkiT – One hour FREE parking
Look for the ParkiT logo for convenient, affordable parking in the Mill Avenue District. These locations offer one hour FREE parking**, ideal for all day parking and short term visits. ParkiT locations include:
Free parking is available all day and evening at the 5th St. & Farmer surface lot and weekdays after 6pm, all day on weekends at City Hall Garage**.
** Free and/or discounted prices do not apply during special events
