New Era of Mill Avenue District Businesses Inspires Generation: Mill

Tempe, AZ – During the recent down economy, many have wondered what the future holds for Mill Avenue District. There have been reports of the famous drag becoming a ghost town or veering away from its local roots for bigger, corporate chains. Well, the Downtown Tempe Community (DTC) is pleased to dispel all those rumors by welcoming fourteen new businesses to Mill Avenue District, all of which, except for one, are independent retailers and restaurants. This wave of new business inspired a new image campaign called Generation:Mill. This campaign utilizes the different psychographics that visit Mill Avenue District, from Baby Boomers to Millenials, who all have different memories and stories about the area, but all keep coming back for the same reason: the urban and authentic atmosphere.
