Monti's La Casa Vieja, one of Tempe's landmark restaurants, is hosting a culinary dinner series starting Feb. 22.

Three of the Valley's top chefs will create a special menu on the last Tuesday of each month from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the 55-year-old restaurant in downtown Tempe.

Monti's classic offerings of steaks, burgers, sandwiches and salads will also be available.

Chef Eddie Matney of Scottsdale-based Eddie's House starts the series. He'll prepare Arizona-raised filet mignon wrapped with prosciutto, grilled and chilled shrimp cocktail served with a house-made horseradish sauce, baby back ribs prepared with a cantaloupe Serrano chili barbecue sauce, toasted-horseradish and mashed-potato-stuffed shrimp and Chermoula marinated grilled chicken drums. Menu items range from $7.99 to $23.95.

March's chef is Food Network star Beau MacMillan of Elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa. April's chef is Matt Carter of Zinc Bistro and The Mission, both in Scottsdale. To book a reservation visit Facebook.com/MontisLaCasaVieja.

Details: 100 South Mill Avenue, Tempe. 480-967-7594, montis.com.
