GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT THEME FOR THIRD THURSDAY

Tempe, AZ – Models strutting down Mill Avenue, Mini-Manicures, Psychic readings, and an all-female lineup for Music on Mill are things to expect at Third Thursdays in Downtown Tempe with Girls’ Night Out this Thursday April 21 from 5pm-10pm.

Models will prepare for a roaming fashion show with hair and makeup application by Mood Swings Salon in front of the post office (5th St & Mill) and people are encouraged to watch the transformations. Models will be wearing fashions from shops in Mill Avenue District. One of the models will be wearing a dress designed by local fashion designer George Johnson with candy from Candy Addict. “The candy dress is going to be a delicious spectacle. It is definitely a dress that every girl would love to wear, it’s chic and innovative,” said George Johnson.

In addition to the roaming fashion show, there will be a gathering place for the gals at 3rd St & Mill with other activities including:
• Psychic Readings by Rhonda St. Louis
• Mini-Manicures/Makeup Touch-up by Aveda
• Photo Booth
• Ticket & Prize giveaways from Tempe Live! For the upcoming production of “Getting Sara Married”
• Raffle tickets for jewelry from Divaz

Third Thursdays is now in its third month in Downtown Tempe and the event continues to build momentum as the interest and attendance is growing each month. “There is a definite interest in Third Thursdays and the idea of themes like Girls’ Night Out is something we are really excited about,” said Elizabeth Carless, Director of Marketing for Downtown Tempe Community.

Many Mill Avenue District merchants will be offering food & drink specials, discounts, raffles, and prizes for Girls’ Night Out. For more information visit www.millavenue.com/thirdthursdays.
