Fashion 4 A Cause Rocks the Runway for Breast Cancer Awareness
Fashion is ever-changing. Design trends and styles ebb and flow in and out of popularity in a matter of weeks. What's "hot" is a season away from being, well, not. One thing that never goes out of style is helping your fellow man and contributing to a worthy cause.
Tempe plays host to no shortage of such events.
This Saturday, the tradition continues at the Tempe Center for the Arts as glamour and good graces come together for the third annual Fashion 4 A Cause fashion show hosted by Dynasty Inkorporated.
To raise money and awareness for breast cancer, Fashion 4 A Cause brings together local artists, designers, models and stylists in a showcase of talent representing multiple genres, styles and creative industries. Fashion 4 A Cause is a for-profit charitable organization, so its fundraising goals are met by corporate and private donations. A portion of all ticket proceeds will go to a charitable organization that helps in the fight against breast cancer.
The theme of Saturday’s event is “Rock the Runway.”
“Each year I try to do something a little different,” said Fashion 4 A Cause organizer Antoinette Fisher. “Since this year is ‘Rock the Runway,’ we’ll have live performance artists for the first time. We’ll also have more music performances.”
Notable work on display will come from Phoenix-based apparel company Humble Clothing, Nelson Bella of Easton, Texas and local mother-daughter designers, Patricia and Lisa Glotfelter, better known as Style Noel.
“Rock the Runway” will be hosted by local comedian Jaymac and feature music by DJ Klassic.
