Event aims to help people jumpstart ideas

People with an idea for a product or business may have a
good platform to get that idea off the ground.

Geeks Night Out is a free event that will take place next month at the MADCAP
Theater in Tempe.

Right now, they're looking for smart folks with an idea or a dream to
participate.

"If you have an idea or a startup entrepreneur and want to get in front of some
folks that can help you out go to rapidpitch.launchbot.com and submit a two minute
video telling us why you should be in this," said Fred von Graf with Geeks Night Out.

A panel will choose five participants, and a sixth person will be chosen based on their number of votes online.

The top idea will receive a mentorship package which is valued at more than $5,000.
