- Join Tempe in an effort to celebrate all things green with its Earth Day 5K & Green Expo. It begins at 5 p.m. at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway. Tempe is also hosting a community “Bike-to-Work-and-School Ride” on Earth Day from 6-8 a.m.The first 400 people to ride to one of five pre-determined Tempe sites get free breakfast and a T-shirt. - Give your gas card a break and ride the light rail to 3rd Street & Mill or 5th Street & College to enjoy Downtown Tempe!
