Another fast food eatery will be added to downtown Tempe near the corner of University Drive and Mill Avenue.

Las Vegas-based Capriotti's Sandwich Shop opens a third store on the first level of the five-story Chase bank tower building. It opens Monday, May 23.

The regional chain plans to open two more Valley locations in Mesa and Scottsdale by the end of the year. Already it has locations at Dana Park Village Square in Mesa and Ahwatukee.

Capriotti's slow-roasts whole turkeys and roast beef to make its gourmet sandwiches. Its bestseller is the Bobbie, a turkey sandwich topped with stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayonnaise. Another is the SlawBeJo, a roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese, Russian dressing, cole slaw and mayonnaise.

The Tempe location is expected to occupy 2,000 square feet of office space that will seat 38 people inside and 24 people in a patio area. In addition, the shop will use electric delivery bikes at the location.
