Boat #27: Matt Kieffer of Glendale, Arizona, and his 16-foot electric pontoon boat, presenting Cactus Christmas with a dancing Saguaro set to music.

Best Human-Powered –
Boat #1: Captain Joelle Park and First Mate Tina Hammerton, and their 12-foot canoe, paddling the parade route with their themed boat decorated to celebrate “A Major Award: A tribute to "A Christmas Story"

Kids’ Choice –
Boat #36: David Burrell of Mesa, Arizona, and his 24-foot MasterCraft X-45, depicting “Here Comes Santa Claus with Rudolph Pulling the Way”

Grand Prize –
Boat #39: Steve Stich of Mesa, Arizona, and his 30-foot cabin cruiser, the “Therapeutic.” Steve presented “The Polar Express” featuring smoke, spraying water, and the soundtrack from the movie. See a video of his unit entertaining the judges here.

2012 Tempe Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade

Light up the night and be dazzled at the Valley's most unique holiday event-the Tempe Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade. Featuring as many as 61 festively lighted boats of all sizes and a top notch firework show, this is one holiday parade you don't want to miss. Special guest Santa Claus will also make an appearance to hear children's gift requests in Tempe Beach Park. So, bring a camera for some free pictures with Santa to capture those precious holiday memories.
