Tempe Idol hopefuls made it through the auditions and the competition is set. Preliminary rounds to find Tempe’s newest singing sensation will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on July 3, 10, 17 and 24 in the Studio at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway.

Tickets for each round are $11 at the door or by telephone; $13 online at http://tca.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=264. Seating is general admission. Audience members with tickets will be allowed to vote for their favorite performer.

Contestants will perform with a live band. Industry professionals will be hand throughout the competition to critique and mentor contestants. Grand Prize is $1,000 in cash, recording studio time and more.
