Watercolor classes will be taught by Kathryn Tartaglia, who is a Montage Gallery member artist.  Among other honors, Kathryn was recently included in a show honoring the 30 best watercolorists in Arizona.  She is a signature member of the Western Federation Watercolor Societies, a member of the Portrait Society of America and a Juried member of the Arizona Watercolor Society and the Arizona Art Alliance.  Her paintings hang in private collections throughout the US, Mexico and Europe.  Awards include “Awards of Merit”, “Juror’s Choice Award” and “Best of Show”.

Summer is fast approaching!  Now is the time to plan summer events for your children.  It’s not only important to schedule activities they will enjoy, but the benefit of learning something new during summer vacation is always time well spent for your child.

Your child will learn how to paint a new subject with watercolors each week.  Each class will focus on the following issues:

• Composition
• Mixing colors
• When and how to use different brush strokes
• How to easily correct mistakes
• Having fun with watercolors!

Classes begin on June 7^th from 10:30 to 12:30 each Thursday for four weeks.  Classes will be taught at the Montage Gallery, which is located at 740 Mill Avenue, Tempe, AZ.

Classes are offered to children from ages 10 to 15.  Class fee is $95.00 for the four week course.  Class size is limited to allow individual attention to each child’s artistic needs.  FEE INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS!

An art show will be held at the Montage Studio Gallery to honor all the students participating in the art courses.   Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend to enjoy the beautiful paintings the children create during their summer vacation.
